Content Strategist

The Content Strategist will test products, conduct in-depth research, and produce detailed article outlines so our team of writers can focus on crafting engaging content.


  • Rigorously test products and record results across key performance indicators.
  • Interview experts including chefs, painters, appliance repair professionals, and brand and retail executives.
  • Analyze product manuals, ingredient lists, study results, research papers, and videos to develop in-depth knowledge of each product/brand.
  • Collaborate with brands about new product launches, sales, and discontinued products.
  • Produce detailed article outlines/briefs that include section headers and key points to cover within each section.
  • Stay on top of trends in content marketing and SEO.


  • Bachelor’s degree in market research, marketing, analytics, or creative writing.
  • Experience developing detailed outlines for blog posts, product reviews, and how-to content.
  • Passion for cooking, home maintenance, and creating a more efficient home.
  • Understands basic principles of digital marketing, content marketing, and SEO.
  • Ability to produce up to 15 detailed outlines per month (~1500 words per outline).
  • Excellent communication and project management skills in a remote work environment.

  • Analyze data and insights from in-house product testing, interviews, product manuals, ingredient lists, study results, and research papers.
  • Produce at least two in-depth and highly-engaging articles per week (1800 to 3000 words per article).
  • Collaborate with Editors to refine and reword content.
  • Collaborate with Content Strategists to continuously improve article outlines and research methods.


  • At least 5 years of professional writing experience in the Home niche.
  • Bachelor’s degree in writing or English is preferred.
  • Experience conducting original reporting and research for product reviews, comparisons, and buying guides.
  • Experience and passion for cooking, cleaning, or home maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills in a remote work environment.
  • Organized, communicative, and able to receive and provide constructive feedback.

The Editor will improve the articles’ clarity, flow, substance, and readability. They will also be responsible for fact-checking and proofreading. The Editor will roll up their sleeves and dive into the topics to ensure each article satisfies the readers’ intent clearly and comprehensively.


  • Thoroughly edit up to 15 reviews, comparisons, and guides per month.
  • Provide detailed feedback to writers to improve the content and prepare it for publishing.
  • Project manage multiple pieces of content with up to 10 writers at a time.
  • Collaborate with content strategies, writers, and senior editors to improve processes and streamline workflows.
  • Ensure all content meets or exceeds our high editorial standards.


  • At least 8 years of professional editing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in writing or English is preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders in a remote work environment.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Engaging writing/editing style; you know what good content looks like.
  • Basic knowledge of content marketing and SEO.
  • Organized, communicative, and able to receive and provide constructive feedback.

Video Editor

The Video Editor will take raw footage and transform it into final videos ready for publishing. 


  • Edit up to 3 videos per week (approximately 60 minutes of raw footage).
  • Optimize the color grading and audio.
  • Removing “ums,” “ahs,” and throwaway takes.
  • Seamlessly transition between A-roll and B-roll.
  • Add simple effects such as transitions, text, arrows, etc.
  • Add royalty-free music and sound effects where applicable.
  • Provide feedback to help the production team continuously improve the video quality.


  • At least five years of video editing experience.
  • Experience editing for YouTube videos is a plus.
  • Expert at Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro (or equivalent).
  • Expertise in graphic design and motion graphics. 
  • Ability to manage several projects at once while upholding high editorial standards and meeting deadlines.
  • Organized, communicative, and able to receive and provide constructive feedback.
