It takes days, weeks, and sometimes months to complete each review because we don’t just read other websites and put our spin on it (like most review sites do).
We conduct in-depth research, talk to experts, connect with manufacturers to gather more details, and, most importantly, test the products ourselves.
Once we publish a review or article, we don’t let it collect dust. We continuously monitor the products and make updates, so you get the most recent and accurate information.

How It Started
Hello, my name is Andrew Palermo, and I’m the Founder and Editor of Prudent Reviews.
With a background in Marketing, I’ve always had a strong desire to understand consumer behavior and learn why some products succeed while others fail.
After I bought my first home several years ago, I quickly became overwhelmed by the number of new products I needed to buy to get up and running.
Kitchen and cleaning supplies, tools, furniture, safety equipment, home services — I had no idea which brands to buy or even where to start.
When I turned to the internet for help, I was disappointed with what I found.
The customer reviews on eCommerce sites were anecdotal and lacked in-depth information.
The in-depth product reviews posted on blogs came off disingenuous, as if the author was paid to endorse a particular brand.
Bottom line — I was frustrated with the lack of straightforward, unbiased information out there to help navigate all the different options.
Recognizing the need, I set out to create a better solution.
A place where you can go to find in-depth, accurate, and, most importantly, unbiased information about everyday household products.
An objective point of view based on thorough research and testing, and never influenced by sponsorships, brand activations, or free products.
And, with that, Prudent Reviews was born in 2018.
My goal was (and still is) to help you find the best products for your home and, more importantly, help you avoid wasting money on the duds.
Since launching, the team has expanded, and Prudent Reviews has helped over 20 million people across the globe find the best products and improve their lives at home.
We’ve also launched the Prudent Reviews YouTube channel, where you can watch us test and review the brands you read about on our website. It’s a great place to leave a comment, ask a question, and get unbiased shopping advice directly from us. We read every comment and do our best to respond to as many as we can — your input really matters.
In the future, we plan on publishing more helpful content and expanding into other household categories.

Andrew has over a decade of marketing and media experience, working with over a dozen Fortune 500 brands. He started Prudent Reviews after purchasing his first home and becoming frustrated with the lack of honest and unbiased reviews for home products. He loves spending time with his family and friends, cooking, and relaxing outdoors.
Maria Palermo – Director of Operations
Maria has over ten years of experience in analytics, human resources, and operations at leading professional services firms, including Boston Consulting Group and PwC. She holds an MBA and a BSBA in Marketing and is passionate about supporting the creative and business sides of Prudent Reviews. In her free time, Maria enjoys cooking, entertaining, and exploring New England with her family.
T.C. Jones – Editor
T.C. Jones spent over 10 years working in the restaurant industry as a food and beverage controller at Morton’s The Steakhouse. He holds an MFA in creative writing and has been the managing editor at several literary magazines.

How We Make Money
Although the site makes a small amount of money when you buy a product through our links (full disclosure below), we make nothing if you’re dissatisfied and return the product. So it’s in our best interest to only recommend products we know you’ll love.
Additionally, Prudent Reviews is supported primarily by the banner advertisements that you see throughout each page.
